We were shocked and saddened to receive the tragic news of the sudden passing of Dr. Ahmed Zakariah. 

On Sunday, July 7th, Dr. Ahmed was swept away by a violent current while crossing a river during a medical outreach in the Blue Nile region.

It was Dr. Ahmed’s courageous vision that launched the Gigaiba Referral Hospital in the war-torn Nuba mountains, which currently provides life-saving medical care to more than 20,000 patients per year.

Please join us as we lift up his wife, Saida, and their young son, Comboni, in prayer.

May God help us to honor Dr Ahmed’s legacy by continuing the work he began in Gigaiba.
