We are so grateful to the generous supporters of Persecution Project.
The reports from the two main hospitals we support in the Nuba mountains of Sudan are full of gratitude and encouragement – even if they also convey news of desperation and need.
When we began our Therapeutic Feeding Program for “severely wasted” children, we had no idea how long it would last. It was a major un-budgeted event for us, but the appeal was so great we didn’t want to say no.

So we reached out to our ministry partners and the program began in November 2024 with treatment for 1,000 children. A month later, the program was still going, and Drs. Zachariah and Alamin wrote us glowing reports of thousands of children brought back from the brink of starvation.

In 2025, we decided to try to keep the program going all year. With a million additional residents in the Nuba mountains, it was quite a challenge because hunger has resulted in hundreds of deaths daily across the war-torn country.
We are halfway through the year, and the program is still going strong, treating between 1,000 – 1,200 children every 30 days.
