An Enduring Message of Hope

We have written about this before, but the topic is so important it bears repeating over and over again.

One of the most important ways we bless the persecuted church is not with material things like mosquito nets, medicine, shelter items, or even fresh water.

It’s with encouragement.

Encouragement is what keeps many people going when they’re surviving on vapors of hope.

When we provide a mosquito net to a refugee family that has been fleeing conflict for weeks, and who are exhausted and living under a tree or in a makeshift grass hut, the net might keep malaria away, but the encouragement in knowing you haven’t been forgotten and that someone sees your struggle and cares for you, is often the difference between going on or giving up.

The Word of God is like this. When we hear messages of love and hope for creation found within the pages of the Bible, it encourages us. It builds our faith. It helps us push through whatever trial we’re in. And it reminds us that we are “all in this together.” We not only need each other, we have each other.

Throughout the years, Persecution Project has distributed literally hundreds of thousands of print Bibles and other Scripture resources to the church in Sudan. But, by far, the most popular and effective means of getting God’s Word to the persecuted has been through the audio Bible.

These little solar-powered devices have been the source of many conversion stories and testimonies from believers who tell us their audio Bible has been their lifeline.

Whenever we do a relief distribution, we try to coordinate an audio Bible distribution at the same time. We want to feed bodies and souls. We want hearts to be converted and encouraged.

You can be part of this enduring message of hope by supporting Persecution Project’s Discipleship and Evangelism Program. We plan to provide another 6,000 persecuted families with audio Bibles before the end of 2025. Your partnership can help make this happen!
