Over a period of four days last week, the Sudan Air Force dropped nearly 60 bombs on civilian targets in the Nuba Mountain community of Kauda.

The bombs hit schools, livestock, clinics, and destroyed offices at the only NGO operating in the war zone, the Nuba Relief, Rehabilitation and Development Organization (NRRDO).

Citizen journalists with Nuba Reports (http://nubareports.org/safbombs/) captured several images of the jets making their attack runs.

The actions of the Sudan Government constitute serious war crimes. Yet, these crimes are being virtually ignored by the international community. The bombing has caused fields to lie dormant during the very brief growing season. Of course, this is exactly what dictator Omar al Bashir wants.

It is up to all of us to raise awareness of what is happening to innocent people in the Nuba Mountains. Visit SavetheNuba.com to find out ways you can get active for the persecuted. Also, look us up on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/PersecutionProjectFoundation) and share the stories we post. Together, we can shine a bright light on the darkness coming from the genocidal regime in Khartoum.
