Emergency Meeting of House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa: Current Crisis in Nuba Mountains

On August 4th, 2011, the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa held an emergency meeting to discuss the ongoing attacks by the Khartoum government against the people living in the Nuba Mountains of Southern Kordofan, North Sudan.

Persecution Project Foundation President, Brad Phillips, was a key witness in providing testimony of the atrocities being committed by the government of North Sudan.

A destroyed village in the Nuba Mountains is evidence of the recent attacks by al-Bashir's forces against the Nuba people.

C-SPAN broadcast the hearing in its entirety.

  1. The U.N. has rot in it. China and all the Islam dominated nations have a major stronghold there. Dear Jesus, comfort the weak and suffering through us, your servants. Evil has gripped the hearts of so many and we must labor in the trial and suffer with those that suffer as though we suffer with them. I am not doing it enough. This was a very important and informative hearing. I hope appropriate action will be taken.
